The Leimo Laser Comb is a joint development with the Medical Laser Research Center, Dankook University, Korea , and is Certified by Korea Food & Drug Administration ( KFDA ) as a Class 2 medical device (Medical Device License Number 03-1142), as well as received CE certification for conformity with essential health and safety requirements set out in the EEC European Directives. Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) LLLT has been used in Europe for over 30 years and has been the subject Low Level Lasers "energize" the tissue since light is a form of energy. For example, laser light on scalp and hair follicles provides high levels of light which are used by the cells in the scalp and hair to assist in the normal chemical processes performed by those cells. The term for this is "Photo Bio-stimulation". According to Professor Tiina l. Karu the process of Photo Bio-stimulation is like the process of Photosynthesis, whereby plants converts energy in sunlight to chemical forms of energy, for food and growth. In a similar way, laser penetrates into soft tissue and increases the action of Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP), a molecule that is a major carrier of energy from one reaction site to another in all living cells. By doing so, laser light increases the energy available to cells so they take in nutrients faster and get rid of waste products. LEDT (Light Emitting Diode Therapy) According to Dr. MedSci. R.Gren Calderhead, LEDT “ is a form of phototherapy which involves the application of non-coherent low power monochromatic light to injured lesions to stimulate self-healing by the human body.” Since 1999, NASA has published research demonstrating that LED’s are optimal in promoting “wound healing and human tissue growth”. According to the article "LEDT is rocket science!" published in the New Scientist 25 Sep 99, “ NASA in U.S.A. approved LEDT as the application of light therapy which improve the medical care that is available to astronauts on long-term space Missions.” Hair & Scalp Restoration For many years, doctors in Europe and the USA have used LLLT and LED in the treatment of hair and scalp problems, and traditionally LLLT therapy are administrated in clinic, which is very expensive. Today with the Leimo Laser Comb you can enjoy the full benefit of both LLLT and LED therapy for hair & scalp restoration at a fraction of the cost.
